ABOUT ME

Hello! I'm Willow, proud owner of Rooted in my Strength. What started as a simple gardening blog has blossomed into a journey I would have never imagined. I have been in love with gardening my entire life and through that I found herbalism, the use of plants and plant material to support various needs. I choose to start with herbalism on a quest to support my physical and emotional wellness. I live with chronic pain and CPTSD, conditions that come with plenty of buddies like triggers, anxiety, and intrusive thoughts. The trick with herbalism is access to specific plants, which is hard to gain without room to grow those plants. Eventually I found aromatherapy and a certification program that has taught me so much. I have learned about the chemistry of essential oils, safety considerations when it comes to interactions with other medications, anatomy and physiology, the energetic qualities of essential oils- honestly I might just have to write a book about all the things I have learned! And I won't stop with just one certification. In the early days of my discovering aromatherapy, I found a slew of clashing advice online. Misinformation. I am dedicated to sharing true and proven truth to combat dangerous misinformation. As part of this dedication, I will continue to educate myself under some of the founders and frontrunners of fresh research surrounding aromatherapy.

I want to be clear. Aromatherapy is in no way a cure for anything. Aromatherapy is a powerful tool to serve countless purposes. I do not sell snake oil here and I will always put the safety of my viewers and clients first. None of my blends or blogs are meant to replace medication or medical advice. This is a journey of support and balance.

I believe everyone deserves a life without having to struggle with hurdles.

You deserve peace and comfort, naturally. Let's Connect and create a blend suited to your specific needs.

Peace to you,

Willow R.
