Cut The Diet Culture

Try this and melt that fat away! Eat this and watch that pesky fat burn up! It's so easy, drop an entire human's worth of weight in the same amount of time it takes to watch all of "Bojack Horseman" on Netflix!

I know you can't hear sounds through images or reading, so I'll let you know Van Gogh could hear my eyes rolling and he's dead with one ear a full ocean away. I don't hate much, but I do hate the way we are so scared of our own bodies. The human body is a wonderful, phenomenal thing and we put it through so much to fit in with fleeting trends. Body types shouldn't be trendy.

Did you know fat is stored differently on biological women than biological men? The idea that someone can "get rid of" cellulose is a total lie. The bodies of biological women store fat in such a way that the body can survive things like childbirth and starvation. That's what cellulose is, and if it's visible on that body is purely genetics. Shaming someone for visible cellulose is like shaming them for the shape of their nose or the color of their skin.

I don't want to get preachy and tell anyone to ignore heartless people. Honestly, I'm having a difficult time just writing this blog. I've been struggling a lot lately with how I look. I used to be an athlete in up to three sports, eating salads for lunch, and the picture of "ideal looks." Now I'm the single parent of a wonderful young child getting a small business off the ground. Having a child didn't just change my life, it changed my body- in ways I'm not fully aware of yet. I'm a little nervous about going to see a doctor because I don't want to have to fight about proper care. I've already been told off about how I look by doctors, I'm in no rush for it to happen again. I guess the secret must be finding worth and purpose outside of what society thinks- that's what they tell me.

We have been put on this amazing journey on a floating rock in the middle of an ever expanding universe. It's about time we all put aside petty cruelty and look to deeper meaning.

I, for one, am grateful to have found aromatherapy. Learning how essential oils interact with the human body has been truly incredible. Aromatherapy is a powerful, all natural tool that can help the body speed up what it's already great at- keeping you happy and healthy. Interested in learning more? Let's connect and discover what aromatherapy can do for you!

I hope you have a wonderful week, dear reader!

Peace to you,
