It can be hard to trust a random stranger you've found online, especially when they talk about things usually associated with scams. I'll keep this one short and sweet, dear reader. This week I want readers to understand what I do, and why.

Aromatherapy. Just some scam or a thing that can be far deeper? I'll let you decide that one. If you were to look up the word "aromatherapy" online, the first definition you'd see is " the use of aromatic plant extracts and essential oils in massage or baths." This is true enough, but not exhaustive. As someone who works with aromatherapy, I do use essential oils made from aromatic plants and those oils can be put into blends that can be used in baths or other self care routines. But that's not all. Aromatherapy can be emotional support for those struggling with feelings of stress or distress. Aromatherapy can support physical pain through salves and lotions. Aromatherapy can even do both; who feels calm and centered when they're in pain? Not me! Truly, aromatherapy is a great tool for self care at multiple levels.
What do I do? A simple question with a big answer. I work closely with clients to develop a solution to best fit their unique needs and concerns. Feeling overwhelmed and stressed? I might suggest a soothing inhaler blend to encourage feeling more centered. Living with physical pain that just won't give you a break? I might suggest a lotion blend to support the body's natural function. No matter the scenario, I take time to understand the full picture, right down to preferred smells, to best guide clients to what may work best for them. I take multiple factors into account before starting a blend. These factors include other people and pets in the home and what kind of blend would be most convenient to use. Every body is incredibly unique, which is why I value personalized blends. I find a personal touch is the most effective way to deliver a more effective blend, and it can be safer for you or anyone in your home.
Some people have questioned my motives. Rooted in my Strength is not any kind of MLM service. This is not a pyramid scheme. This is my answer to how I manage my pain that I want to share with other people. You deserve a life of peace and comfort, naturally. I'm sure you've read my other blogs detailing a life of chronic pain and CPTSD and all the fun adventures that come with living with such cards. I can honestly say aromatherapy has changed my life for the better. Between supporting mindfulness techniques, soothing feelings of deep distress, and helping manage the pain I live with- aromatherapy has opened up my life in ways I didn't imagine at the start of my journey. Now my mission is to help other people find their version of the peace and comfort I've found. I want to be clear. I am in no way promising any kind of cure or diagnostic service. Aromatherapy is a wonderful, powerful tool, but not a one-size fits all tool and definitely not the only tool anyone should be using. If you have medical questions, please see a medical professional.
