Aromatherapy can be a powerful tool when it comes to supporting wellness. With great power, well, you know the rest of that. And it's true. Here are some *basic* rules to follow to keep your loved ones safe. Please keep in mind the following will not be exhaustive and you should reach out to a medical professional if you have any questions regarding further concerns.

I've already discussed other safety practices in my post "Essential Red Flags" today is all about the smaller beings in your life that may have less control of their environment. Let's kick off this safety party by discussing exactly how others might be exposed to essential oils (hint, to read even more about how the body absorbs oils, read "How Essential are Essential Oils?") A popular way to enjoy some of the benefits of essential oils is to use a diffuser. Diffusers are neat gadgets that use mist to release oils into the air- and who else breathes air in your home? Everyone! And some people or pets might not get the same experience. It is best to keep a diffuser out of a baby's room, and truly best to wait until kiddos are around 5 years of age before topical use unless you're under the care of an Aromatherapist with special training. If you have animals roaming around, always make sure your diffuser is in a spot they can't get to (you know what they say about curious cats) and for extra safety allow the animals to come and go as they please. An open area with plenty of airflow and exits will make for a safe environment for fur babies to get away from airborne oil molecules.

Now that we've cleared the air, what are other ways people can unwittingly "share" aromatherapy? Topical use! What's good for you might not be good for the gander. So take a gander at this: always be super upfront with your aromatherapy supplier (psst, I'm available) about who is in your home.
Did you know peppermint is incredibly versatile? I've used peppermint in blends to support aches, cold symptoms, and feelings of sluggishness. What a powerful, uplifting personality to have in your self care! However, peppermint doesn't play well with kitty's liver and can cause serious illness with a large enough dose.
This is why I use my thorough 3- step process to understand your needs and concerns. Connect, Consultation, Continuation. Easy breezy steps to support your wellbeing for as long as you want! Connect with me and fill out a quick form to get started and set up your Consultation. During your Consultation, we'll have an in-depth discussion about you, your needs, answer questions, and work together to create a unique, all natural blend just for you. For just $10 and an hour or less of your time you'll have a free custom blend; when that runs out the next one is 50% off! After your Consultation all that's left to do is Continue services and receive your blend.
